We have some news we're proud to share! TruTop Roof has been approved for certification by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, better known as WBENC. That makes us an officially certified women-owned business and part of a national network of women-led companies making an impact across the country.
For a roofing company based in Winter Garden, this is a real milestone, and we're proud of how we got here!
WBENC is the largest third-party certifier of women-owned businesses in the United States. Getting certified is not a matter of paying a fee and printing a logo. A company has to prove it is at least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a woman, and the review includes documentation and an interview before anything is approved. The certification is earned, and it is verified by someone outside the company.
Being accepted means our ownership and the way we run the business held up to that outside look. It also connects us to a national community of women business owners and the organizations that want to work with them.
TruTop Roof is a family business in the truest sense. Our owner, Rula, has been working nonstop to get this company off the ground, handling the parts of the business most people never see so that every job runs the way it should. She built it alongside her husband, Sam, who has spent more than 20 years in the roofing industry and knows Central Florida roofs about as well as anyone.
That pairing is the whole point. Rula runs a business built around the customer, and Sam brings two decades of hands-on roofing experience to the actual work on your home. One without the other would not be TruTop Roof.
A certification is only worth something if it reflects how a company treats people. The values that earned this one are the same ones we bring to every roof.
We quote one honest, all-inclusive price and we stick to it. If you have ever had a contractor hand you a roof replacement quote and then pile on change orders once the old roof came off, you know how common that is in this industry. Extra plywood, disposal fees, labor for rotten wood nobody warned you about, and suddenly the bill is thousands of dollars higher than the number you agreed to. We don't work that way. The price we shake hands on covers the whole project, including any rotten wood we find, the permit, the inspections, and the warranty.
Sam is on your job in person, not just on the paperwork. He is there to make sure the work is done right, and if something isn't up to standard, it comes back off and gets redone at our cost, not yours. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
Here is one small thing that says a lot about how we work. When a job is finished and passes inspection, plenty of our customers ask how they can pay us. Our favorite answer is to leave an honest review. The money was always for the project. What we want is for you to tell people how we treated you from the first inspection to the final cleanup.
We are a licensed roofing contractor, License CCC1337085, focused on professional roof replacements for homeowners across Central Florida. More and more of those roofs are metal these days, including standing seam and stone-coated metal that stands up to our sun and storms and still looks sharp. If a classic asphalt shingle roof is a better fit for your home and your budget, we install those to last too.
None of this happens without the homeowners who trusted a growing company with something as important as their roof. This certification is a proud moment for Rula, for Sam, and for everyone who has been part of TruTop Roof so far! If you are planning a roof replacement and you want honest answers and one fair price, we would love to help.
